A pestilence of cushions

They taint our back support

with their colour co-ordinated assault on the senses

and the intended purpose is one fulfilled in name only

the end result is but uselessness and expenses.

For why is the existence of the cushion required

a pestilence on the couch, sofa or bed

to litter the space and be moved upon arrival

until all existence is cushioned, and the rest is dead.
